Welcome to the new website for the Leeds branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.

Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, known as CCE for short, loosely translates as the Irish Musicians' Association.

Comhaltas is a non-political, non-denominational organisation with branches all over the world.  Its main aim is to spread the culture of Irish music, language, dance and song in order to preserve our traditional heritage for future generations.

The Leeds branch was formed in 1969 and ever since has welcomed anyone who enjoys Irish music.  Currently we have around 150 members of all ages.

We are only too pleased to welcome visitors or new members, so call in and see us at the Centre on a Tuesday night, or ring Peggy Sarsfield on 0113 263 7600 about membership and/or traditional music classes.

You will also find us in the Games Room at the Irish Centre on the first Saturday of each month, where we put on a lively night of traditional entertainment.

Please take the time to explore our web site where you will find details of our future events.  There are also photos and reports on past events, along with recording created by the branch and even some tunes for you to listen to.  The links page contains details of Irish cultural web sites, including those for music, song and dance.  There are also links to other CCE branches.

Finally, if you wish to contact us, whether to enquire about membership or for further details about an event, then use the Contact Us link at the left-hand side of this page.
